| I’m sure you can all sing the song that inspired this delightful little quilt! It is great fun to make and would be perfect for chicken lovers everywhere! The quilt combines quick easy piecing with my bonded appliqué and free machine drawing technique, although it can be worked in almost any appliqué method. Visit my sewing tips section for examples. The little girl is happily feeding her chickens in the farmyard. The words to the song are embroidered by hand around her. My 5 year old son wrote the words for me (and I have included them in the pattern for you) but if you have your own source of cute handwriting all the better! The finished quilt measures 40 ½ x 40 ½ inches but can easily be made larger by adding more borders - you could even have a border full of chickens! The paper pattern is available to purchase in my shop and includes clear, detailed instructions, colour pictures to help you and full size appliqué templates. | ||
