After completing my Fashion and Textiles degree at Winchester School of Art I worked as a freelance knitwear designer. I then trained to be an infant school teacher and had a very rewarding and enjoyable few years teaching reception classes. Now I am proud to be a full-time mother to our two little boys.

I am always happy when I am being creative and very rarely sit ‘with my two arms the same length’ which is my Irish mums’ saying for when you are found not doing anything! This is definitely frowned upon!

I have been quilting for eight years. I spent the first few years buying patterns, attending workshops and learning the basics (and I really do mean the basics, I am no technician!) but then the designer in me came out and I now design and make everything from scratch.

The techniques I use are all quick and easy and require no great technical ability at all. My ‘machine drawing’ technique is great fun to do and will come very naturally to you once you relax and start enjoying yourself!

In addition to designing patterns for sale, I also use my teaching background to encourage others to start this lovely hobby (well, way of life actually!) and run workshops and quilting bees.

I hope you enjoy looking at my website and feel inspired to get creating…it wouldn’t do to have your two arms the same length now would it!
